In European roulette you can place bets on a single number, or combinations of numbers.

The European wheels are divided into 37 slots. 36 of the slots are numbered from 1 through 36, of which half are red and the other black. There are also a green slot marked 0.

You have to choose the amount of your bet, and place your bet, then click on the ‘PLAY’ button, and the dealer will start the wheel. As soon as the ball comes to a rest in one of the slots the croupier clears all the losing bets and pays the winners.

INSIDE BETS

STRAIGHT UP (Bet on a single number)
You can place your bet on any number or numbers, even on the 0.

SPLIT BET (Bet on two numbers)
You can put an bet on two adjoining numbers on the board layout. To do so, place your chips down on the borderline between them.

STREET BET (Bet on three numbers in a vertical row)
You can bet on three numbers on a vertical row by placing chips on the outside of the line of numbers you wish to bet on

CORNER BET (Bet on four adjoining numbers)
Place your chips at the point where 4 numbers meet if you wish to make a corner bet

FOUR BET (Bet on specific four numbers)
Put your bet down on the borderline between the 0 and 1, and you will bet on four numbers: 0,1,2,3.

LINE BET (Double Street bet)
You can bet on two adjoining street on a same time, by placing down your chips on the corner of the borderline and the outside line.

OUTSIDE BETS

COLUMN BET
At one end of the set of 38 numbers are boxes with the words '2 to 1' written in them. Each box is part of a column of numbers (if you extend a line up the body of the inside of the betting area). If a number from within the column you are betting on comes up you win, and you're paid 2 to 1.

DOZEN BET
This kind of bet lets you place a bet on either the first dozen numbers (1-12), the second dozen (13-24), or the third dozen (25-36). To place this bet, find the rectangular areas labeled with the words 1st 12, 2nd 12, 3rd 12. The bet pays 2 to 1.

RED/BLACK, EVEN/ODD, TOP/BOTTOM BET
You can choose to bet on the outcome either being a red, or a black number, even, or odd, low, or high. This is a very common form of roulette betting, as it is easy to understand that you have almost half a chance of winning. This bet is paid even money, meaning if you bet $1, you win $1.

Winning bets are settled according to the following table:

Single number: 35:1
Split, two numbers: 17:1,
Street bet, three numbers: 11:1,
Corner bet, and Line Bet four numbers: 8:1,
Line Bet, six numbers: 5:1,
Dozen, and Column bet: 2:1
Red/Black, Even/Odd, Low/High: 1:1
